I had to try this one as well. I only got stuck once this time, with the aliens and the crystals at the end..and it was so obvious when I realized it!
Like I said last time, can't wait to see what else you come up with next time!
As far as visuals and atmosphere, maybe my favorite game so far.
So fun! And graphics are awesome :)
Amazing work for only one week. Cool you could do ALL of that in a week.
Thanks so much. Team effort on this one, we had so much fun making it. Glad you liked it thanks Arthur! 😊
dace your game is amazing like always the aliens were so cute and i love how i sent my fellow prisoners to space loll you guys are the best i love your games and they are so well made its just amazing its literally in its league of its own keep up the good work and i am sure you guys are going to make better game in maybe a few weeks or mouths i just love the voice actors and the theme it just gives me star wars vibes lol and again keep up the good work
Wow thanks so much the_1_and_only_unknown. We really appreciate your comment. It really makes it all worth while when someone enjoys playing our little creations enough to let us know. Thanks for your fantastic comment 😊
Intersting and funny game. it shows us how so many pathetic peoples rise up in governments. hahahahaha I loved our anti hero. A awesome satiric story. Beautiful environment, characters models, mainly the green ones, aliens. Thanks to share those games with us. I will rate it in 5 stars!
Haha thanks so much DumpsterProductions, glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your support 😊 🙏
hahahaha Yeah, in Brazil we had few years ago "the captain" Bolsonaro whose remember that guy whom became an emperor in this Shrouded. hahahaha
The only parts I would personally say could be improved would be points in the story where the player has to click on things and figure out what to do. It took me way too long to figure out I had to click the buttons in order to run the ship; I thought I had to get something from outside to fix it. Then there was the moment of finding the best place to shoot at the end, that took a while too.
Other than that, I loved the story. It had so much fun and character and it was super great. Well done on it and hope to maybe see a sequel if there ever is one, considering the ending >.>
Thanks so much Lucifer! Yes Georges amazing games definately inspired us with this one, so glad you enjoyed it. We have plans to extend it, but working on lots of other small projects atm unfortunately. Am looking forward to getting back onto it though 😊
Very beautiful graphics and fun gameplay! I'd like to report a problem with the French accented letters. Please take a look at this Screenshot. Maybe the text is encoded in ANSI when it should have been in UTF8, or maybe it's the other way around? Thanks to the team at Dace Games :^)
Hi Threepwang thanks so much. I’ve got this fixed in a new font now in some of my later game jams, so I’ll update Shrouded Space to fix this in the next few weeks. Thanks for reporting it!
Haha I loved it!! Funny and great voice acting.. and of course Star Wars vibes :)
Thanks so much Sabrina, so happy you liked it 😊
Enjoyed this one, although I managed to loop through a previously completed segment by clicking on an airlock in the late game.
Ah thanks for that. I’m putting an update in place in the next few days so I’ll make sure to fix that too. Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
I have that fixed now, thanks for reporting it 👍
god this game is so good
no wonder it won the game jam i would definately play more of this game
Thanks so much for your very kind words 😊 Really motivates me to keep the story going, hugely appreciate the support!
Great game, very fun to play! Congratulations on winning the jam, well deserved.
I came across a bug noone else has mentioned in the comments, so I don't know if you've fixed it post-jam. In the very first scene, I tried to not do what I was supposed to, and ran around all of the screen before interacting with the guard. After that, my character could move only a tiny bit. It was like there was an invisible wall hindering him from following the guards onto the ship.
Awesome thanks for the comment and good bug finding! I haven’t seen that one and will find and fix it this weekend. Thanks again for raising this, much appreciated.
I have that issue fixed now, thanks so much for reporting this 👍
Amazing game looking forward to play more of your games
Thank Palaros! 😊
Loved the game! I do have one complaint though, the game was 100% my laptop GPU (GTX 960M) as it started up running at 350+ FPS by default, I had to apply a 60 FPS Frame Limit in the NVIDIA driver to play without all the fan noise. Please consider adding a frame limiter or forced V-Sync to avoid this.
Oh that is excellent feedback and makes perfect sense thanks maussimus. I will patch this as soon as I can so others don’t have the same fan ambience 😀
Fixed the GPU issue just now - thanks so much for reporting this. Future players owe you their GPU life :)
Nicely done, confirmed new build runs cool & quiet out of the box.
Oh that’s amazing thanks so much. You didn’t have to retest it but I am very grateful to confirm its sorted. Thanks again! Future players will never know 😀
Linux version: "Save & Quit" just quits - doesn't save anything! Is that expected?
Ah yes. There will be a save game feature coming later when I expand the game, but took it out for the jam. Good point I’ll update that text thanks!
OK, thank you (and thank you for the Linux port!).
Fixed the text on the Quit button - thanks again for reporting that!
Wonderful sci-fi interactive story game! The lines are great with professional voice actors! Good job!
Thanks Ramon, I hope you had fun. Yes it’s amazing how much Guy and Wendy’s voices brought it alive. I am in awe of their talents.
Is there a plan for Linux port at some point?
Hi advega. Yes for sure I can put a Linux version up straight after the jam ends. I have a couple of bugs to fix as well, but I can’t put a new release up until the voting ends. Will let you know once it’s there. Thanks for the prod, I should have done it at the start…
Thanks Dace, looking forward to play it, along with your other games if you ever find the time to port them as well. Best of luck in the jam!
Linux version is up as promised. Please let me know how it goes?
Thanks again, everything works fine aside from two bugs, possibly not Linux build specific:
That is a good find advega thanks! I will get that patched tonight. Thanks for reporting these. Will save someone some pain for sure.
Fixed both these issues now - thanks again for reporting them!
Just played your little PowerQuest game - aussie represent. I've been using PQ since it's inception and love your little game despite the few bugs. Can tell you were heavily inspired by Lloyd down to the visuals. Thought it was great for 14 days. Also loved the particle effect implementation in PQ as well. Love it
Awesome I’m so glad you love it Grahf. I tried to draw from my memories of Space Quest for this one but I think Powerhoof have changed how I think adventure games should look and feel and so have heavy bias for that now obviously. Blame Dave for that 😀 Had a ball with it and plan on fine tuning and expanding it, making it more complex once the jam ends. Thanks for your feedback it is hugely appreciated!
