Suboptimal is a small horror Point & Click adventure game where you must escape the submarine you are commanding, one way or another...
In the depths of the ocean, your submarine has been plunged into darkness as the power systems failed. One by one, your crew fell mysteriously ill and it's up to you to try and save them.
CONTROLS
- Left click to walk, interact or use item
- Double Left click to walk faster
- Move cursor to top left of screen to access your inventory.
- Left click inventory to select item, then again when over the object you want to use it on
SubOptimal was created in Unity (using PowerQuest by Powerhoof) over a week.

This was a super cool little game! I'm amazed you made this in a game jam, very awesome. Great little story and great pixel art! I hate Stan but that just makes it funny. Game had some great horror moments and great visuals. Only bummer was the lack of use of point and click elements and puzzles but its just nitpick. overall a Good Game!

Really interesting premise and nice visuals, but I couldn't progress beyond a certain point as it felt like events sometimes triggered out of order and then I was left unsure what to do? Unless it's just me and I missed something...
You are spot on - well done finding these where many others have failed :) I’ve just fixed those now and would love to see you back in the submarine sometime soon for a better experience… well… you know what can happen on a submarine…
